Task Description: Today Mrs Tele'a gave Room 3 a quick Taha Challenge and it was to do with Taha Wairua, our spiritual well being. We had to write down and say, why each morning we do a Mihi, Karakia, and Himene, down below is a list of reason why we do it. Some of these listed are from students in Room 3 and we had to pair up and 1 person says why we do it, then the other stands up in front of the class and explains it to everyone.
Why do we do this everyday:
-Connect to God: Connecting to god through the karikia and asking him to strengthen our journey each and everyday.
-Having the confidence: Having confidence in our mihi and showing that we are proud of this school.
-Knowing where we come from: As we sing or speak we must know where we come from and know the way.
-Remember our Ancestors: Remembering our ancestors ways and carrying on their traditions till this day.
-Greetings to a brand new day: Every time we do this we are beginning with a lovely way to the day and making sure that we have a great time here at school.
