Wk 3: Writing: My Very own Poppy Create-Why do we wear Poppy's on Anzac.

Task Description: This is my 2nd writing task and it's the last one out of the activity I've chosen. I've chosen this one where I just have to create my own poppy, which I drew, and write about why we wear poppy on Anzac.

Wk 3: Reading Create Task: Poem.

WALT: Analyse and use language features to describe a place.

Task Description: This is the create task that we also had to do for reading this week, and what we had to do is make up our own poem. But thinking about our favourite place and not using the name of the place in the poem. So then we had to make a poem with paragraphs describing it and what it looks like when we are there.

When I looked around, I heard the sounds of the beef burgers being flipped upside down.

Then as it came closer I stood in line patiently and waited for the time to pass by.

So then I sat and waited for the deliciousness to be eaten, then suddenly went back for one more thing.

Since every person loves the new flavours I tried it out for the trend. But then one thing happened, milkshakes were snapped in, which means there was no more to buy.

But I had an idea to wish for the thing I wished to appear and be made.

It was the famous chocolate top with a chocolate flake

Hehehe!

Wk 3: Maths: WODB: Which One Doesn't Belong.

Task Description: For this weeks maths task we have been learning about 2d shapes and in this slide deck we had to figure which shape doesn't belong and write down why. So we have each shape which doesn't belong and write on why they don't belong, for example this circle doesn't belong because all the other shapes are squares.

Wk 1: SYNTHESIS- Pandemic of 1918

Task Description: For this week's reading task we have been doing synthesizing Information about the Pandemic of 1918. We had to write information from the book and read what we understand, then down below I have done new information about the pandemic of 1981. That was our work for the week and more will come soon.

My new understanding of the 1918 pandemic is that there was an outbreak of the influenza pandemic which was called the 1918 Pandemic. pandemic is an outbreak of disease across a country, a continent, or the world, but this one was influenza. It mostly affects younger and older people, but suddenly when a person has caught the influenza their immune system responds by creating antibodies so it can fight it back. The future of these viruses is to cause mutation in the human genome, Antibody is a protein that the body makes to defend itself against foreign substances. People would die just within twenty-four hours or even longer than a week, but as during this time all ages, even children had to help out with making food for the sick and making sure that they had lots of help.

Day 3: Activity 1&2- Let's Start Travelling.

Task Description: For today we had to start from Rangitoto Island, then move to Karekare, then Tane Mahuta and see all the different things about these 3 places. We had to go on the New Zealand Map and mark where in New Zeland the 3 places we just talked about are. Then we had to select one place out of the 3 that we enjoyed the most online. So I picked Tane Mahuta and it is at the bottom of the maps, explaining why.
