Paige - Who Am I?.

Introduction:

Have you ever played a game named Who am I ? Well I have and I am going to tell you a story about it right now.

Today in Room 8 literacy  we played a game called Who am I? But before we started the game, we had to listen to Miss Parrant for the instructions.

Paragraph 1:

First we all had to get into partners and my partner was Toni. Then we had to sit anywhere in the classroom. After that Miss Parrant came around to each partner and gave each of us a piece of paper. On the paper was the name of  a person, an object or an animal.

Paragraph 2:

Then after that Toni and I started to play the game. Toni went first and she had to guess who she was on the piece of paper. We took lots of turns and it started to get a lots of fun.

Finally when it was time to finish Miss Parrant called out ”stop look and listen!”, and that meant  we had to go on the mat. Then

it was the end of the game and  we all had to write all about the game Who am I?

Conclusion:

This game was so fun because how we got to laugh and how we got to guess who we were. I felt so happy because I could not wait for the game that we were gonna  play. Toni and I had some little mistakes but we got through whole game pretty fast. Hope we have another fun game to do next time.

Paige - The Marshmallow Challenge.

Have you ever been in a marshmallow challenge before? Well I am going to tell you a story about it right now, so keep on reading.

Today in Room 8 we did a challenge and it was the marshmallow challenge with our friends. We first had to get in groups of 5 or 4 and then start the fun challenge.

First Miss Parrant gave us some things,  we needed for the challenge. The things that we needed for the challenge was 1 marshmallow, tape, 25 pieces of pasta, and some string. So firstly what my team did was that we took the marshmallow and placed it on the table. Then we decided what we were going to next.

After that we took all of our pasta pieces and shoved it into the marshmallow. Then we got the string and tied it around the pasta and then turned the marshmallow upwards to stay on top. Then we got the tape and placed is on the pasta and stuck it to the table. Looking at it on the table it looked like it would never work.

Then when we were nearly finished and we looked around at the other teams. We saw what they had done and I think that they had done a good job. Now we were almost finished but we were running out of time. Miss Parrant said “you have 30 seconds left.” We started to hurry to finish our tower. We let go of the tower and it stood tall with the marshmallow on top.

So we were all finished and so we packed up and cleaned up. Then we went and  sat on the mat when Miss parrant called us in. Also our team won too Yay!. But unfortunately the other teams creation all fell down and got busted down. But all the teams did good too and at the same time we were having fun.

How To Plant A Seed.

How to plant a seed 

Equipment:
Tarpaulin
Easy grow pot
Soil
Seeds (rocket seeds and radish seeds)
Water

Method:
First you grab your easy grow pot then put some soil in, fill it to about half-way
Then you can put any kind of seed and put it in your pot with the soil.
After that you put more soil on to cover your seed and make sure to you fill it up to the top.
Then once you have done those thing you can put some water in and leave it to grow.

Caring for my plant:
So you would want to give it some water everyday and also make sure to give it some sunlight so it can grow better. Your plant would probably grow for either 75 day or 50 days. But you would get to see it growing from about 4 to 10 days.

Questions:
How long does it say that your plant will take to grow? My plant would take to grow like about 75 day, but you will see something grow about from 4 to 10 days.
How long do you think it will take to grow? I think my plant would grow for 3 weeks, but it would actually grow for 75 days, longer than 3 weeks.

Two Truths and One Lie

I am writing a recount with a twist. The twist is that there will be two truths and one lie in my paragraphs. You the person reading it will need to guess which ones are the truth and which one is a lie.
Paragraph 1: Truth or Lie? Recount in the order that it happened. Who does it involve? What was it?	On Saturday I went to the Matariki Light Trail. Last week Wednesday I went to Jellicoe pools at 8:00pm. Last week Thursday me and my family went to Manukau to go have a feed.

Conclusion: Summing up your ideas Add in your personal feelings here.	When I was writing these 2 truths and 1 lie I felt guilty and happy.  Why I was guilty because I did not actually do some of these that I wrote down. But when I did some of them it was fun and happy time in the holidays.

Have you ever been to a Immersion assembly when it is your first day back at school other Term 2, Term 3, or Term 4?

Well I am going to tell you one about a Immersion assembly that my school had for the first day of term 2. Also we found out what each team did for this term. This immersion assembly was on  Monday 30th April 2018.

The theme for this term is called I Like To Move It! Also all of the teams are doing a different thing including the experiences compared to theme I Like To Move It! Topic. So overall all of the teams in the school is doing some different things compared to physics and the theme topic which is I lIke To Move It!

I would or I would hope that we would have learnt about making our own creative things using things that we could find in our environment. Also if it was this type of thing it would be called Creative Work And Things.

The team 4 topic is all about making your own creation and how to fly this either using, engines, or making, and using your imagination. The team 4 movie was very cool also it was about the competition that each person who entered had to make a type of flying creation, creating things that they can use with their  imagination.

I think that the theme for this term is awesome because it is going to help us learn about physics. Also I feel very happy and excited about this term because we get to learn about physics and I have never tried that before so it is a good experience for me.

What is something that we could try and do to prevent this happening again?	Putting half of the containers on another Rena boat so it is not that heavy while going across the water.
