Taha Wairua - Te Wiki o Te Reo Maori.

Task Description: This morning we looked at Taha Wairua, keeping our spiritual wellbeing alive. We have done a poster with some basic words and colours in English and translated to Maori, so people can learn some Maori language for this week and take part in Maori Culture. Also we have added some pictures to represent the words and I have coloured the big colourful words to represent the colours.

Taha Wairua.

Task Description: Today Mrs Tele'a gave Room 3 a quick Taha Challenge and it was to do with Taha Wairua, our spiritual well being. We had to write down and say, why each morning we do a Mihi, Karakia, and Himene, down below is a list of reason why we do it. Some of these listed are from students in Room 3 and we had to pair up and 1 person says why we do it, then the other stands up  in front of the class and explains it to everyone.

Why do we do this everyday:
-Connect to God: Connecting to god through the karikia and asking him to strengthen our journey each and everyday.
-Having the confidence: Having confidence in our mihi and showing that we are proud of this school.
-Knowing where we come from: As we sing or speak we must know where we come from and know the way.
-Remember our Ancestors: Remembering our ancestors ways and carrying on their traditions till this day.
-Greetings to a brand new day: Every time we do this we are beginning with a lovely way to the day and making sure that we have a great time here at school.

Te Whare Tapa Wha: Taha Wairua.

Task Description: Here is our last Taha Challenge and it is to with Taha Wairua, which means spiritual health. This also is like prayer and have the Christ in Jesus and more, but we had to read a bible verse, prayers, or a  inspirational quote. But also explain why is it important to us. I have done bible verse, and have filmed a video with it it too, and it is at the bottom of the slides.

Taha Wairua - Spiritual wellbeing.

Today for Te Whare Tapa Wha we have been looking at Taha Wairua (spiritual well being).

There are many ways people sow Taha Wairua. We talked about this and cam up wit a list:

- People pray in public and in private.

- Some people dress a certain way to show their spiritual well being - what they believe in.
- Read and live by a certain set of guidelines: Bible, Quran etc.
- Signs or symbols made with their hand, in jewelry, clothing etc.
- What other ways can you think of?

Today our activity was to create a card to bless another person from our bubble, to make their spiritual well being their 'Taha Wairua' stronger.
We had to make a card showing Taha Wairua to someone that has been kind, cool, or helpful.
Also why you appreciate and what did they do for you, I have picked my mum and this is to make people's Spiritual Health stronger.
