Pt England's First Assembly.

Task Description: Today we Pt England School has had our first Assembly back at school from lock down and so far being back here at school has changed but has been still fun. We have acknowledged our wonderful principal Mr Burt for receiving a Order of Merit Award from the Queen over in England. Down below is writing on what we did and a thank you paragraph for his hard work.

Mr Burt’s New Zealand Order of Merit Award

Today is Friday the 12th of May and also the day we have had our first assembly for Term 2. Pt England School has acknowledged our wonderful principal Mr Burt, and he has got an award for New Zealand Order of Merit from the Queen. So in our assembly we have done a special scene for him and sag waiata (song) and a himene, just for him and everyone in the school to sing together. Then we ended off with a haka and all gave a round of applause for our great principal Mr Burt.

Congratulations Mr Burt,

Thank you for being who you are and always being a loving and caring principal. I’d like to say what wonderful and outstanding things you’ve done for this community and school. You will always be in our hearts and even though some of our family's couldn’t afford things, like money for Chromebooks or camps, you helped them and made sure that they had a good and fun time at Pt England School.
