Perimeter and Area Project.

Task Description: Our maths for the week and term is perimeter and area. We have been learning perimeter and area as a class each week and we are spreading our knowledge and thinking of what we think area and perimeter is. Also knowing what it means off by heart and sharing what you know with everyone.

Persuasive Writing - School Hours.

Introduction-

What is the word Persuasive? Today we are writing about a persuasive writing piece and we have to write about school hours. Whether school should start late and finish early or school should start early and finish at our normal time (3:00pm). 

Explanation-

We should start school early and finish late because we need more time to learn about new things.  If we have a test we wouldn't know what to do because we haven't been learning about the things that will turn up on the screen. I believe that when we are in our teenage years we wouldn't be smart enough to everything. Also if we don’t keep up on our homework we will be staying in class the next day to be finishing it off.

Getting help from your teacher when you need it so you know what work you are doing. You can ask for help whenever you need it at school and your teacher is the best person to go to. Teachers are there to help for a good reason, to help you learn what you need to know. If you are stuck on something hard got to your teacher and ask for her opinion, she might know it.

Spending more time with friends and peers everyday in school. Having friends might be the best thing you’ve ever had when you are in school because that whats schools all about, and learning too. But when coming to school you'll be wondering what there name is and who are they, because you haven't been in school that much. Also getting to know each better and having fun with everyone too.

Conclusion- 

These are all the good reasons and examples of why we should stay in school longer. We can get a better education and be smarter in our learning when we are in school. Also having good grades and a smart mind can get you anywhere you would like to go whether it’s college or a job.

Task Description: This is our writing for this week, we had to write a persuasive writing about our school hours. DMiC 1 Week 2.

Task Description: For the past few weeks we have been doing area and perimeter for maths, DMiC 1 had to find 3 shapes that has 4 sides and an area of 12 cm2. Looking at the shapes that we draw on a 1 cm grid paper we have to find the perimeter of each shape and figure out which one is the greatest and smallest, also what is the perimeter of each shape.
