Taha Tinana - Body Parts in Maori.

Task Description: For today's Te Whare Tapa Wha, we have looked at Taha Tinana, our Physical Well being. I have done a poster with a picture of my body and I have labelled the body parts in Maori and then into English. This poster is something to do with Taha Tinana because it is helping us learn the parts of our body's and we use our body to keep us fit through exercising.

Taha Tinana - Fitness&Hygiene.

Task Description: Here is a Taha Tinana Task, we had to put down 5 things of what we do with our family to keep fit and make sure our hygiene is good, but also staying healthy and eating well.

Our physical bodies need to stay fit and clean. Our families and homes and where we learn the basic BUT important steps for this.

Here are 5 examples of what happens in my family-

1. We go for walks around the Panmure basin.
2. My family goes to the gym every morning and night.
3. My parents make sure that we have clean and good tooth brushes, also toothpaste.
4. We always make sure that we wash our body and hair properly so we smell nice and clean.
5. We always make sure that we have vegetables everyday and eat healthy food.

A special saying that me and my family say to each other to keep healthy and fit is

'make sure you look after your body and eat more vegetables'

Te Whare Tapa Wha: Taha Tinana.

Task Description: Here is the Taha Challenge for today and it is Taha Tinana, which means physical health. For the challenge we had to stand on 1 foot and put the other foot on our other nee, and seeing if we can stay still by doing for a whole minute. Also closing our eys the whole time and staying focused and concentrated through out the whole minute, keeping you mind clear and doing it is an easier way to do it too.  It was kind of hard doing it but I made sure I had a clear mind and tried my best to stay focused and healthy.

Here is my video:

Task Description: Today for our Te Whare Tapa Wha we had to do a Taha Challenge and it is to do with Taha Tinana which means physical health and keeping fit and healthy. We had to do 1 fitness move and as you can see I'm with a friend, her name is Tahliyah and we are doing jumping jacks. As we do a jumping jack we have to see if we can do as many as we can in 1 minute, and that is the Taha Challenge.
